One of the many advantages of attending AUA is that all of your textbook readings are provided for you. The AUA Library gives you access to the most important collections of biomedical literature, along with clinical knowledge-bases and interactive anatomy programs. When new editions are published, they are available immediately in these AUA resources.
At AUA, your readings for each course are linked to the syllabus for that course. In addition, the daily readings for your classes are also linked in the syllabus, along with other assignments. The syllabus and other course information resides in the course management system Blackboard. If a faculty’s preferred textbook is not available as an eBook, the readings are posted as PDF’s in Blackboard. Unlike other schools that require students to spend thousands of dollars on textbooks, it is never necessary to purchase a book at AUA.
As a student, all Library resources are available on and off campus, accessible to you whether on island, on your clinical rotations, or at home anywhere in the world.
